The objective of the North Carolina Association of Assessing Officers shall be to improve the standards of assessment procedure and practice; to foster public understanding of the standards and procedures employed in the appraisal and assessment of property for taxation; to cooperate with other agencies interested in the improvement of assessment administration; and to promote equity in real and personal property assessment.
