Each year The North Carolina Tax Collectors' Association seeks to nominate The Tax Collector of the Year and The Outstanding Tax Collections Employee of the Year to honor those who are making advances in their respective office for their staff as well as for their customers.

The President may choose to extend the William A. Campbell award to honor any member of the association based upon their exemplary efforts and dedication to the area of tax collections.
